The Textile Association (India) is the leading and the largest national body of textile professionals in India, established in the year 1939 and serving the country for over 7 decades now. Currently there are 26 affiliated units at various textile centers in the country, accounting for member strength of over 23,000.
The Delhi Unit of The Textile Association (India) was established in 1965 when the professionals from the groups of the Delhi Cloth Mills, Birla Textile Mills and Modi Mills felt the necessity of sharing technical knowledge, information and the advancement in technology for the growth of their industries as well as the general growth in textile industry. They discuss the idea in detail and established The Textile Association (India) Delhi on 15th Aug, 1965 which is affiliated to The Textile Association (India). An eminent technician from DCM Shri T R Alurkar took over the great challenge and responsibility of leading the association. After that many Eminent and experienced persons from industry, education & research organizations have lead this association. TA(I)-Delhi has its own constitution.
